01 / context
The product and my role
IndianCashback brings together customer-facing fintech features and internal administration. My work covered both sides of the application, including the data model and the services supporting the interface.

What I worked on
- Reworked the application's data schema as part of an end-to-end redesign.
- Integrated Redis caching and Meilisearch to support application performance and search.
- Built and maintained Next.js interfaces and NestJS backend functionality.

Application data and search serve different needs
The schema redesign and Meilisearch integration addressed separate parts of the platform: storing application data and retrieving useful search results.
Performance work crosses layers
The work included the data schema, caching, search, and the application using them. My contribution covered both the services and the interfaces using those services.

Where the work stands
Delivered frontend and backend changes spanning data modeling, caching, and search. The employer's source code is private; this case study describes my contribution at a high level.
